Pipe Down is a reggae-influenced band based in the Lake Tahoe area, known for their vibrant fusion of California reggae, hip-hop, and indie rock. Formed in early 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, the group quickly gained recognition for their dynamic live performances and unique sound, which blends elements of roots reggae with contemporary genres.

The band’s lineup includes Donny on vocals and guitar, Scott on bass, Bobby K on drums and beats, Dave on percussion, guitar, and vocals, and Bobby C on keys and horns. Drawing inspiration from artists like Sublime, Stick Figure, Rebelution, and Slightly Stoopid, Pipe Down has developed a style they describe as “Cali reggae” or “reggae nock,” characterized by its laid-back grooves and infectious energy.

Since their inception, Pipe Down has made significant strides in the music scene, opening for renowned acts such as Rebelution, The Elevators, Tribal Seeds, and Surfer Girl. In 2025, they released their 7-track EP, Lake in the Sky, showcasing their evolving sound and solidifying their presence in the reggae and indie music communities.
